Outlook For Mac Tahoma Font Is Locked On Bold

Apr 22, 2020  Outlook for Mac 16.35: Tahoma Font Bold Again Dear Microsoft support team: It appears an old problem regarding how text in Tahoma font is being displayed within Outlook for Mac has returned with the latest update to 16.35 (all was fine in 16.34 until the automatic updates to 16.35 took place; no other settings were changed and the same happened on various independent machines). Obviously if every font on your Mac is displaying like that, as a box with a capital A in it like A A A, it may be challenging to do much of anything, and in that case you may need to boot into OS X safe mode, or even into single user mode by holding down Command+S during boot to run the above commands. I also wrote an email in Outlook using text in Tahoma 'normal' (not bold), font size 12. It looks bold, but it is not actually bold. You can highlight text and click the bold button and the text gets even more bold. Open Font Book and be sure All Fonts is selected in the Collection column. Scroll down the Font column till you find a font with a black dot to the right of it. That tells you there are duplicates, which you can see by clicking the expand arrow to the left of the font name. Full list of fonts available in both Office for Mac and Office for Windows. The following fonts are available on both. Macintosh OSX 10.4 with Office 2011 for Mac and; Windows 8 with Office 2013 for Windows; You can use these fonts in Office documents, knowing that anyone who gets the file – using Windows or Mac will see it using the same fonts.

Install fonts

Double-click the font in the Finder, then click Install Font in the font preview window that opens. After your Mac validates the font and opens the Font Book app, the font is installed and available for use.
